The Lakes International Comic Art Festival has teamed up with GAME, the UKs leading games retailer, to offer two people the chance to win copies of the new DC Comics game Injustice: Gods Among Us.
The story, overseen by DC Comics scribes Justin Gray and Jimmy Palmiotti, takes place after The Joker destroys Metropolis and tricks Superman into killing Lois Lane. Understandably miffed, Superman imposes a new world order on the Earth, leading Batman and other heroes to form a resistance against his super-powered dictatorship.
The game is suitable for those aged 16 years and older and we have one copy available for use on Playstation 3 and one for Xbox 360.
To win a copy of the game simply tell us the names of the two people who created Superman, who made his first appearance 75 years ago this month (April) in Action Comics.
The closing date is 12.00 on Friday 26 April and you must be aged 16 or older on that date in order to take part.
Send your answers together with your name, date of birth, email address, phone number and postal address to firstname.lastname@example.org. Please also state whether you would want a version for Playstation 3 or for Xbox 360 and put INJUSTICE COMPETITION in the subject box of the email.
The winners will be drawn at random after the closing date.
Please note that we may send you information about The Lakes International Comic Art Festival by email but otherwise your contact details will not be used for any other purpose.
More about the new game
Comics have proved a strong inspiration for the games industry, providing a rich source of ideas, styles and creativity, as well as some aspects of story-telling.
Injustice: Gods Among Us features a hefty roster of some of DC Comics’ most iconic Super Heroes and Villains.
As well as Superman and Batman, you can expect to see Justice League heavy hitters such as Wonder Woman, The Flash and Green Lantern alongside villains like The Joker, Lex Luthor, Sinestro and Bane. Even chirpy Golden Age characters like Shazam will be dragged into the showdown.
It presents a world where the lines between hero and villain, and ruler and protector, are blurred.
Injustice: Gods Among Us will let players go nuts with their superpowers, using interactive arenas based around classic DC locations to allow battles to smash, crumble and demolish their way through the scenery.
